Three months of rejection letters

Recently I’ve been laid off of my graphic design job since June and been in the company for 8 years. Since then I’ve been going through LinkedIn and recruiters to find any kind of design job whether it be freelance, part time, or full time. Day in and day out, I’ve continued to search as much as I can on the job boards. If the job didn’t expect me to travel over 25 miles one way with low wage, I accepted in hopes of getting an interview and land a job. So far to date, I’ve sent at least over 125 resumes to employers trying to get a bite to anything in the range of my qualifications. In this span of time, I’ve had less than 10 interviews with countless amounts of rejection letters. I’ve also did two design tests by the employer that still did not qualify me as a candidate.

Personally, I feel that this is so daunting to me. I have a lease renewal coming up which makes me even more stressed out. I’ve been trying to stay positive with my significant other who has been a tremendous help along with a few of my friends. Emotionally I feel very exhausted, depressed, and defeated by the number of rejection letters. I don’t feel like I have much motivation left and know what to do.
