I’m 17 and I’ve been working at this restaurant for the past 2 months, but I started looking for another job because I had something go on with management that left a bad taste in my mouth. Basically some customer gave me a bad review for no reason and my manager threw me under the bus to appease them. So I looked for another job, got an interview, and it seems like a good opportunity but I’m just stuck between the offer and my current job since things started improving there. I work prep now and it’s been decent.
I get paid $10/hour at my current job with tips added on. The job offer is offering $12/hour plus some tips. That’s great and all but the only issue is that it’s farther and I don’t have a car. My current job is super easy to get to and no one else is an issue there other than that manager. At the other place, they are more staffed, though harder to get to without a car. They’re also open later so I’d be working late hours.
I feel kinda embarrassed quitting a job 2 months in + I genuinely feel stuck between the two.. what should I do? Should I get more experience at my current job and reapply for the other job once I feel ready to leave or just quit now and take the job?
