How to be better at paying attention on details?

I'm a junior civil engineer with 2 years of experience. I have a huge problem with attention to details and I have been trying to fix to no avail.

For an example of situation, I'm checking a drawing to find the length of X dimension of Structure A. I can get stuck for half an hour trying to find it then give up, go to my supervisor and ask if the dimension is not there then he will go take a look at the drawing for a minute and be like "there".

This is so frustating because this small mistake always costs me a lot of time because I have to go back and redo everything just because I make a small mistake at the start that causes everything to be wrong at the bottom.

Is there any tips I can do to fix my attention to detail problem?
