first day at job. realised i hate it

for context: i’m not a very independent person. i had to get a job when i turned 18 a few weeks ago so since i can’t drive and struggle dealing with other people i started working with my mom. today was my first day (no training or anything - a week ago i didn’t even know the job existed) and i realised i didn’t like it at all (it’s working with machinery in a factory - i’m weak, have sensitive hearing and can never wrap my head around instructions so it’s kind of the opposite of what i need). my mom won’t let me quit until november to let me see how it goes though i’m 100% certain nothing will change. we’re very poor so we do need the money but im already miserable here day 1 so…

i was wondering if anyone else has been through something similar? and if anyone has quit after their first day and believed it to be worth it?
