Hey all. Recently I got hired to a new job at a good company. I’ve been working there for 3 weeks, and today is day I am supposed to get paid for the last 2 weeks.
Employer asks me if I want to be an independent contractor, I said ok. He asked me to invoice them, which I did and sent to the accountant. Then, he just left the office without paying me anything.
I sent him a message on WhatsApp but he’s not opening it.
So weird. For the last 3 weeks it’s been nothing but smiles but on the day I’m supposed to actually get paid things take a very weird turn.
This is a big red flag is it not? After he talked to me about the invoices, he said something along the lines of: you’re getting paid a lot I really want to see some results (which I’ve actually been delivering lol)
Just find it super weird that every day it’s like the best vibe ever then the day a payment has to be made this happens
