I am currently on my 3rd job since 2019. Like anyone, I'm looking to find a job that I really love so that I can stay there many years, if not retire from. Due to this, I am becoming a job jumper which doesn't look good on my resume. I completely understand that for some people a career is not their main purpose in life, while for others it is. I've always been somewhere in-between, but lately I've been feeling very jaded and unmotivated. I feel like climbing the ladder is no longer my calling as it once was. I used to be very driven by money, and was always chasing that. Now, I'm focused more on what makes me happy. But here's the issue, I have no super strong interest in anything or simply do not meet the qualifications. Does anyone else feel stuck or lost? I graduated college and am just sick of corporate America. I'm sick of office work, and numbers, and excel spreadsheets, and so on. I believe this may be burnout. I recently just started a job in a director level position and already feel like I've hit a wall. In our society, I am doing what makes sense, but I do not feel fulfilled. Has anyone else been in a similar situation? I'm torn between the following routes:
A) Stick with my current job and give it some time, or at least get a year in before exploring other options.
B) Find a PT job doing something more interesting to see if I like it (alongside my current FT job) and if it could potentially turn into a FT job.
C) Start looking now for another job altogether or explore the option of two PT jobs to have variety.
Thanks for any advice or direction!
