Would mock trial count as “legal work experience”?

I’m currently applying to jobs in the legal field, and most of them prefer a year or two of legal work experience. I don’t have that, however I did participate in college mock trial as a mock attorney and team captain. Do you think employers would consider college mock trial as legal work?
