Question for job recruiters (especially in tech)

Hi all. I have a situation that I'm not totally sure how to navigate.

I'm starting to apply for jobs in the UX/UI field.

I've had a mentorship, and I have a portfolio and case studies.
The things I'm pretty sure I need to get started.

But in this two year time period, I've also started to explore a non-binary trans identity.
I want to be forthright about that in the hiring process, because I want to both--enter a safe environment, and be a realistic fit for the team dynamic.

I've chosen to go by a different name, which isn't my legal name.

For purposes of my application, resume, and cover letter, what name should I use?

I imagine it's probably easier to use my legal name all around in the hiring, but at the same time, I don't want to come off as being disingenuous.

A bit stuck.. what would you suggest?
