I'm contract on W2 making 130k (health insurance out of pocket/no benefits). 1 year contract expires next month.
Company offered me full time position. 83k base + 12k stock (total 48k split over 4 years) + 401k + good insurance/benefits + unlimited PTO. Honestly I was hoping for more but its still a great company.
My first attempt was tried negotiating that base to 100k which failed. Sounds like recruiter is sticking to his guns and only wants to offer 83k based on the matrix where salary is determined by years of exp in that company. I feel I can still negotiate 3-5k more no? How would I do that? Can I use the leverage I have to negotiate?
Levarage: I have 1 year of exp at the company + it will cost them money to find someone else and re-train.
