I went for my first big boy job (55k-80k yearly). Much higher than my current 33k or my previous 30k. I went in for an interview on Wednesday the 18th. Im assuming they’ll take Friday - Monday to deliberate and I should be hearing back from them no later than Wednesday. I know the type of industry the job is matters. It’s IT. They have an important role that’s currently vacant so I know the hiring is being pushed hard. Will Next Wednesday be a good time frame for the earliest and next Friday be a good time for the latest. I have another offer that pays considerably less (42k) thats waiting on my decision. I don’t want to keep them waiting forever.
Also, advice section down here. When I went in, the receptionist said I was pretty young for the position i applied for and she’s surprised i got a call back. Is that a bad thing or good thing? Will they not consider me because of my age (23)? Currently pacing back and forth, wondering because I really want this job.
