Hi everyone,
I’ve been working at my internship since June 21st and I absolutely love it. It’s remote, it’s paid, it’s in my field, and my team is AMAZING. The company is perfect—not too big or too small. I love the work that I do and I’m actually good at it! It’s honestly been the most exciting time of my life because I feel like I finally have a solid career path.
The internship is supposed to end come Labor Day, but I have been praying to anyone who will listen that they keep me on full-time. Recently I got praised for how well I’m doing and the executive director of the department told me how impressed she was in a Teams meeting, and I was invited to see the office this Thursday and go out for late lunch/ dinner with everyone after work.
Needless to say, I want to stay. Should I tell them that I’m interested in a full-time position? If so, how (and when) should I go about that? Has anyone come out of an internship and landed a full-time position when it wasn’t clear if that was an option?
Just looking for some advice on what move to make next! I’ve found my dream job and I don’t want it to be temporary!
