Did I extremely fail my interview?

I accidentally slipped that I'm basically confused in life. My interviewer started talking about "what I could do" like career advice i.e. Research or shadowing a professor. This is also a research based company. The interview was also really short. It was suppose to be 30 minutes but I only spent 20 minutes. Is it completely over for me? I really need this internship because I'm a senior but I can't seem to do anything right. I prepared for this interview too but my mind seems to just shut off during the interview. The girl before me and the interviewer were laughing but the interviewer barely laughed with me. Is this all really really bad signs?
