I’m told if I can’t do the job, it isn’t for me. My previous experience is nothing like this, and without anyone else to ask for advice or previous experience, I am alone. I am the boss at the job. If I need help, questions answered, anything the coworker who comes to relieve me won’t tell me. He says call the boss. The tiny moment my coworker gave me advice, I wish I knew it before. If I call the boss for everything, he is going to see I can’t do the job. My coworker doesn’t think I can do it and says won’t help me or go to him. If I don’t get let go, I can get more opportunities. I can learn how to do this job where it isn’t easy and might be easier than another place. But I wish I had the chance to tag along and learn from someone who wasn’t the boss. The people behave differently when the boss is around. Problems that may arise or what to watch out for is so vague without examples. This job makes me worry is any of my current screw ups going to add up to letting me go for someone who didn’t look like she came from school. Will they have someone with scars, a thick skin, and battle experience do this job? Did I already screw up too much? Someone recommended me. It has its bonuses in tasks that I love. People would kill for this job. Now I am tempted to play Devil Wears Prada.
