I've been offered 55k salary for a role. I had provided a salary estimate of 50-60k at the outset of the process, so they have met me half way with the first offer and I'm delighted at getting an offer.
However I had expected other benefits to be better - there is zero bonus and I had expected 5-10% (common in my industry btw). No health insurance either, although I am not in the USA where I know this is even more critical. Do you think I can use the no bonus as leverage for an extra 2.5k? Or should I leave it and not risk anger? I would be explaining my 50k low end of my expectation range as " I had a keen interest in the role so didn't want to be removed from selection at the outset, and also for me this figure was just base salary and I considered possibility of other benefits such as bonuses"
