Question from a foreigner working for a US comapny: what are some of US companies willing to hire foreign independent contractors?

I am not a US citizen nor do I live in the US. I work fully remotely for a US company and I'm hired as a foreign independent contractor based on W8-BEN form. When I look for some extra work, I find it really difficult to find any US company willing to hire foreign independent contractors. Even though it's completely legal and the company wouldn't even have to pay any tax on my behalf. I'm frustrated because the pandemic has clearly proven that almost all jobs can be done remotely... (with some exceptions, of course).
