Left a great company I had been at for 5 years for a new, shiny opportunity complete with better compensation, relocation, the works. Three months in, a senior member left the team and refused to give any sort of background on the activities and projects they would be leaving behind. Naturally, I get assigned the new projects and try my best to glean whatever I can before this person leaves.
I am still early in my career, and I am being expected to pick up the activities of someone 2-3 levels above me. I am experiencing terrible burnout, I am not being trained on what I need to do, it is very much so "figure-it-out", but the projects are not the kind that I can look up online for guidance.
I am in an at-will location, so it goes both ways in terms of leaving the company. How can I start applying before trying to leave? I don't want to go back to my previous company as it feels kind of like getting back with an ex for convenience sake...
