I have a BA in social science, and I am planning on going and getting a second degree in HR with a minor in accounting so I can be employable outside of retail. In the meantime, I am interviewing for: Enterprise Rent-a-Car Management Trainee.
I read reviews online that say you work like a dog, wash cars, have to aggressively sell insurance to people. You work 55 hours a week, according to my recruiter.
My recruiter won't give me a straight answer about the day to day and if the schedule is stable. She said it's monday to friday, but that I also have to work weekends. I am not sure if this job is worth the stress and not having work life balance. But while I try to get a better job, I have bills to pay. I am also scared that I won't advance in my education if I am working 55 hours a week and on my feet and washing cars all day.
Do these jobs actually let you get into a corporate or administrative position? That's my hope. I want to get out of retail.
I live in Southern California.
