Hello everyone, my name is Casey. In May, I graduated with a Bachelor‘s in History and a minor in Pre-law and Paralegal Studies. I’m very lucky, only after a month and a half of graduating college I got a job as a legal assistant with no experience. I work for a Estate Planning and Secession law firm. We also do a little bit of Family Law and Personal Injury. The attorney and the paralegal has been training me. I live in Louisiana and I have every desire to move away for better career opportunities and law school. I decided to stay home to get some experience and save money before I move, my dad doesn’t charge me to stay with him. It’s just him and I, my mom died when I was a child. I was doing some research that Illinois is a great place to become a lawyer, there’s also like three law schools I could get into out there. I really like my job at the law firm I am at now. But how long do you think I should stay there to get experience before I go? I’m going to work and go to school part time. I’m single and I don’t have any kids, so I think I can do this! Thank you!
