Can a company legally decline to hire you based on a personality test like enneagram or Meyers-Brigs?

I think these things are a waste of time and quite a few of the personality type tests have shitty histories (https://www.refinery29.com/en-us/2021/03/10345603/personality-tests-persona-documentary-hbo).

I’m looking for work and all these millennial companies have personality tests as part of their hiring processes.

Given things like Title IX, if someone has a hard time reading or understanding the test, or they’re not neurotypical, how is this an acceptable hiring practice?
