During morning meeting, my team scheduled interview with a candidate they are planning to hire at 12;30pm. Meanwhile I had an interview of my own at 1:00pm and was frightened their interview would conflict and it would spill over.
I have been at my job for two years and I told them “I can’t make it”. they said why, I’m like “lunch meeting” and left it vague.
My boss asks “are you interviewing for other jobs? “ I said “no” and left it at that but I think it was awkward and now I think my suspicion is higher. I managed to do the 12:30pm interview for the guy we are hiring today and then went to my own 1pm inteeview. how do i handle this situation if it comes up in discussion again? Should I not worry? I really could use this employers reccomendation if needed in the future and dont want to burn a bridge
