Could i become an insurance agent with a GED? I was recently thinking about taking the GED. im currently 16 in the 9th grade by the time i graduate ill be 20. MY mother has been a drug addict my entire life and my father isnt in the picture very often. I come from a family of people who live paycheck to paycheck. I Finally got the balls to stand up to my mother and tell her i had enough of her shit (drunken fights with her boyfriend every other night and not prioritizing her children). Im in the process of moving in with my grandparents because they have the ability to support me and i would have a better shot at life (enough rambling). MY uncle (the most financially stable one in my entire family) says he wants to put me onto his insurance business and work with him and other agents when i turn 18. Would i still have a good shot at the job (getting my insurance license and becoming an successful insurance agent) if i took my GED now (16/yo) and used these next two years to build habits and use my TIME towards my future. Rather than slaving away in a classroom learning about the cell wall when i could get into the career field that i want without receiving a high school diploma.
