The role I am working at, which i am unhappy at, has scheduled me in for a performance review. I am unhappy here and have been looking everywhere for another job and as soon as I get an offer I'm leaving.
In some ways I think the boss is unhappy with my performance and it is probably partly my fault and partly their fault. They don't give me enough to do, and when I ask for more work they say I should spend more time on the assigned tasks. When I tell them I do they say I must be rushing them to finish early. I'm not rushing.
Basically, what can I expect from a performance review? Is it a polite way to say they are unhappy with me and are gonna fire me? I'm honestly past the point of caring, but a heads up would be nice.
Or am I meant to discuss with them my plans for my next 12 months with them?? Please! I would quit today right now if one of the other jobs I applied for came through.
What can I expect from a performance review and how should I prepare for one and what sort of questions will they ask?
If they ask me "what are you long term plans with us?" How should I answer it when... I have no long term plans with them, I would leave today if a better offer came along.
