Recently received a job offer in the northeast metro area, during the zoom call the manager mentioned there was an paid 30 day probation trial period before onboarding me as a full employee with benefits. However during my negotiation talks with the manager, there were a couple of red flags I picked up on and wanted to double check with reddit and see if I'm just being paranoid.
- No contract of any kind, either for the probation period or the full time offer
- Dodgy/broad answers when asked about work schedules, pto, salary bonuses, overtime
- No response when asked to see the full time offer contract
- No ACH/Direct deposit forms for the probation period
- Replies after 5+ hours
This is small 'startup' company, without a proper HR dept or proper management.
