Unemployment job hunting: how to maintain choice and salary leverage?

My state is making us resume work search to continue unemployment benefits at the end of the month. I'm not against work, but I have a pretty strong resume, and I'm afraid of being taken advantage of by either being unable to negotiate salary, or finding out the opportunity has a terrible environment and not being able to say no.

I've been job hunting and have conducted multiple interviews, but have been able to decline roles that had major red flags, poor compensation, or short contract work up to this point.
