I’ve been at the same retail company for 10 years, only job I’ve ever had. I enjoy the people I work with and the work itself but I feel so under appreciated by the company. I’ve worked there for so long and I only make .63 cents more then a brand new manager at my level. Over the years every time I got a raise they would soon raise the minimum wage everyone started at and my raise was essentially flatted out.
I know it’s the smart thing to do, I know that I’m stagnant where I am. I’m just so afraid to take that step and put my two weeks in. Like I’ve said it’s the only place I’ve ever worked, I started as a cashier. I guess I just want advice on how to even start looking for a new job?
