is there an oversupply of labor ? i def feel there are waaaay too many people competing for few open positions
i feel there are way too many fresh college grads every year, too many people stuck in retail wanting to pivot into a profession. older people are living longer and are not retiring. it seems companies do not like to hire much. it only gets worse every year.
i really dont see things getting better at all. i feel the tech industry was kinda a the last "gold rush".
i dont see any new "gold rushes" anytime soon, meaning brand new industries that have actual entry level positions and hiring surges
it seems this is kinda the new normal... limited positions that want experience only and we now only have jobs in technology, healthcare, some business jobs, there are plenty of low pay retail/gigs that cant even pay rent. if you fall out of these 4 categories you basically dont even have a place to apply
