Treasury Management?

Yesterday I started looking for jobs to apply for. I’m currently in a position which focuses on sales and customer service and I have been employed with this company for 7 years this April.

I saw a position called Treasury Manager and applied. I don’t have banking experience but most of the qualifications seemed to match what I had been doing for the last few years minus the banking part which I assumed I could pick up.

My question is...let’s say this position is an over all goal. Where do I start? I looked up the salary and it averages 3 figures. I had never heard of this position and now I’m intrigued. Would I have to start off in banking as a teller and work my way up?
