Should I come clean?

I applied at a job for rehab/mental health facility that does background checks and on my resume I said that I worked at a bakery for 3 years, it was really an internship (volunteering to help out a friend’s family business). I left off a legitimate work experience because it was in the same field as the bakery and was for 8 months. Will this make me fail the background check?
