Not sure if I should try and make something of myself anymore

I used to want to work in a specific field and be very VERY good at it, but now I'm not allowed to work in that field ever again.

I kind of still want to keep moving up one way or another (even though I'm unemployable af right now) but I don't have the motivation. I simultaneously want to move up as far as I can go whilst not wanting to contribute to this shitty society. I want to get a job that pays A LOT but I know I don't have the motivation to get that far any more. I need advice.
