I am currently on leave of absence and my employer treats it as inactive status. I am scheduled to return to work in a month. I got a job offer from another company and I am planning to join that company in a month or two. The new employer initiated background check and I am wondering whether the inactive status considered termination. Appreciate any thoughts on this.
