I am about to graduate with a economics degree and I have a criminal record. What jobs should I be looking into with a econ background?

Hello, I am a 36 year old student who is about to graduate next year. I need some advice because I have no idea what I want to do with my life. I have struggled my way through community college and now I'm struggling through university and am getting close to graduating.

I guess my question is what jobs should I be looking into? I like the idea of working in a office or similar type of work and I enjoy tinkering on excel. I have one class of python under my belt but I struggle a lot in that class and would need a good year of learning a computer language. Will a company train me on a language or will I have to do this on my own?

Anyway I love numbers and I like statistics. A job in data analysis is something that seems be promising but how much would I have to know in order to get a job in that field?

My criminal record gives me a lot of anxiety. I have two convictions. One is felony, 2nd degree burglary in 2004 and the other is a misdemeanor  for petty theft in 2009. The reason for the theft was because of my addiction to heroin and would shoplift to support my habit. But I have been completely sober since 2011 and have no other run-ins with the law.

Also what should I say about my record when asked? I don't really tell people about my heroin addiction past, because people often don't initially believe me and they tend to think badly of you after hearing it. So I never talk about my war stories or my past in that sense.

I also don't want to be in school anymore. I spent 6 years just getting through community college and now I'm in my 2nd year at UCSD and I need a job. I don't want to pursue a masters. I have spent my whole life working in the hospitality industry and need to get out. I get really annoyed with unruly customers.

Any suggestions for possible careers I could get with this degree would be much appreciated.
