I’m looking to change careers as after ten years I don’t think the job I want from my degree exists anymore.
My next job I want... 1. Introvert friendly 2. Consistent schedule(nothing that constantly changes due to the anxiety of what my week could look like) 3. Hang up my coat and go home at the end of my shift and focus on other things (salaried life/on call seems horrible) 4. 32k to 38k per year.
I have a graphic design degree and I have ten years experience as a designer and coordinator. Scheduling social content, designing print material, updating webpages, photography, sending incident reports for website malfunctions, answering office phones, and pushing retention campaigns and consumer feedback surveys.
I lack coding expertise, knowledge of SEO, and email marketing as that is all handled by people above me.
I’m just mentally exhausted and I don’t get excited about ‘the next step’.
I’ve honestly thought about a job on a manufacturing line but my parents would be disappointed in me as I was their ‘college baby’ that was supposed to avoid that work.
