So I applied for a part time barista job on Friday, I absolutely know it’s early and it’s only been 2 days, I wasn’t expecting a reply by now anyway.
I’m just wondering what the usual speed is. And what the next steps are. I’ve been lucky enough to receive an interview from IKEA, but I would much rather work for Costa: the Costa is 10 mins away, the IKEA is 45 mins away. Costa is 12 hours which is perfect for me, IKEA is 16, which is more than I want. And overall u love coffee and Costa, don’t care much for IKEA 🤷♂️
Anyways the interview for IKEA is tomorrow, I don’t want to take this job before I hear back from Costa but I may not have a choice. So yeah how long after applying can I expect to hear about an interview/rejection? And what happens after an interview, I know IKEA tends to do like 3 interviews for example. Is Costa just Interview -> trial shift -> hired?
On that note will they tell me if I’m rejected?
On a third note 😂 how likely am I to be rejected do we think? I’m a local student, again live and study only 10 mins away. No barista experience but 2 years customer service. Think I wrote a pretty good cover letter. But I didn’t do great on the situational judgement test. Got like 60/65 percent I think. How much bearing does this have?
Sorry this was so long and ramble, I just reallly want this job. It’s perfect for me and my schedule in every way.
