So, I've been unhappy with my job as a property manager for a while now. I can't really pinpoint why I've been so unhappy, but I just am. I have an amazing relationship with my bosses (who love me so much) and I make pretty good pay - I have no complaints but to be honest, I just have such a hard time with my tenants. It's definitely a job you need a thick skin for, and my relationship and mental health is suffering. All of my coworkers have quit within the past 3 weeks because they were also miserable, but it just happened that everyone found new jobs around the same time.
I applied for a job way out of my experience range (not at all expecting to get it - if anything, I was just considering it good interview experience, but I think part of me was really trying). Well, I ended up getting it. The pay is the same, but this job title will be exponentially better on my resume and they offer benefits (and I desperately need to be going to the doctor, but can't afford it comfortably so I just avoid going period) I signed the paperwork to join the team and everything right away. Then, that evening, I put in my two weeks notice.
My current employers called me and they are heartbroken. They're offering me more pay, less work, benefits, etc... And it's tempting, but I'm just so unhappy. I'm only 21 years old, and I'm lonely at work. It's just me there and 2-3 other people at least twice my age. It's impossible for me to make friends because I'm too mentally exhausted after work to socialize. I'm not ashamed to say that I'm great at my job, and I know it. There are a lot of things that I genuinely love about my job, but... I can't shake this feeling.
So, I suppose I need to decide whether I stay with my current employers and let this other opportunity pass me up, or whether I should stick to my guns and leave.
Please help me. My family is somewhat biased because they've heard how unhappy I am recently and so I feel like I really need an outside opinion. It's making me so sick and I've never experienced anything like this.
