I'm not sure how i feel about the whole thing. I turned down the job offer the week before Christmas because some things didn't quite feel right (interview was strange, healthcare coverage lapse, moving in winter, etc.)
Last week the recruiter contacted me again and said the manager still really wanted me on the team and asked if i would reconsider for an increase in pay and a signing bonus to help with moving expenses.
My gut wants to know why filling the position is so difficult for them that they'd try me again or if I'm jist genuinely the best candidate they had. The recruiter is obviously trying to sell me the job but something feels off about the whole thing.
Is this something companies often do or am I reading too much into it? I've never had it happen before.
