How can I advance out of my current job in lab research?

I have a BSc in Neuroscience and an MSc in Experimental Pharmacology (Distinction level result). I currently work as a researcher making $14/hour. The hours are open, as I can come and go as I please according to my boss (which he has held up). The thing is, I am not interested in bench work or working with meticulous data entry/processing. I'd prefer a role with creativity and puzzles, as well as one that reflects the business of science. How can I progress from here?
