I’m not talking about senior level or degree-specific jobs asking about your experience or asking for a little more depth.
I mean jobs like cashiering for Walmart or waitressing somewhere that have applications that ask for a resume then ask you to write all the same stuff that was on your resume. Or the ones that have you do some type of ‘Strongly Agree/Disagree’ assessment.
They never assess how well you can count cash (for jobs like cashiering) or how well you can perform the job duties. They always ask things like “Would you describe yourself as trustworthy?”, in which case, yes. Everyone’s gonna put yes.
It just seems a bit arbitrary and pointless.

Anyone else click off jobs applications that ask too much or ask things unrelated to the position?
