Hey guys I just need to rant and maybe get some advise. So I’ve been with this company for over a year, it was my first job in the field but I did have previous manager experience at other jobs in the past. My probation period passes and all of my managers are telling me how good I’m doing and how I’ll be the next for a promotion so I’d better not leave. I still haven’t received that promotion (they made those promises last February) but a girl who started two months ago with no experience did. My general manager kept the position a secret from us and then randomly promoted this girl without even consulting the other managers, they were just as surprised as we were. I spoke to one of my bosses about it and found out I had the credentials but not the availability. I told her I could change my availability of need be and she said she’d talk to my GM about it. That was a week ago and no ones said ANYTHING to me. What makes it even worse it that the girl who was promoted keeps asking me how to do her job! I do so much that’s above my pay grade there and there are people who do less than me and get paid more. I have no idea what to do and I’m so frustrated.
