I've been really turning around my life the past year and I'm lucky enough to have gotten off the streets and into a shared apartment. However, I still have to pay rent and utilities, buy my own food and buy e-juice for my vape, the one addiction I still have.
Long story short,
I don't have a car I don't have any form of ID other than a picture of my passport which is not in my possession but not expired. I don't have a birth certificate I don't have a social security card I get food stamps and used to get GR as well, although my entire GR money went to rent and utilities every month and it's no longer available as I have used 9 months out of 12.
I haven't tried filing for unemployment yet, I'm not sure if I would qualify as I haven't had a regular job for over a year.
I also should mention I've never held a job for more than 6 months but I'm not giving up and I believe I can overcome this.
So far I've been applying to every job I'm qualified for on Craigslist, indeed, monster and other places, and even some I'm not qualified for just to put my best foot forward. When I'm not applying for jobs I'm out on the street basically panhandling and asking strangers for money. It hasn't been working too well though.
My skills are as follows:
Good communication.
A little bit of everything on PC, but that comes with using computers since a young age.
Fast learner Hard worker Punctual
I'm native-level fluent in Japanese, and can read Mandarin at an intermediate level.
I have taught english before but not in a professional capacity.
I have a combined total of 4-5 years of customer service experience. I'm a good driver but no car and no license.
And that's about it, unless you include all the good habits I've attained and my desire to become a better person.
I'd really appreciate it if anyone could give me any advice or a job connection or help me in any capacity. I'm not picky and I'll take anything that pays the bills or makes me even a little bit of money.
I'm dedicated to making a good life for myself and others and ready to take any opportunity.
