My manager gave me a shift on New Years Day with 3 days notice

I got the roster a week ago (21/12) and I was happy to find out that I wasnt supposed to work on the 1st of January. So obviously I planned a party on new years eve, etc.

Unfortunately, today (29/12) I found out that my manager gave me a shift on that day and didn’t even inform me about it, I just happened to double check my roster.

Is it okay for me to tell my manager that I have plans and cannot make it?
