Have a job offer: ~20% increase in base pay but the title is worse and I'm up for a promotion at my current job in a year. Should I take it?

Hey guys I need some quick advice. I have a job offer that increases my base pay by around 20%. The issue is that the title is worse so on my resume it would seem like a step back. The other thing is that at my current job I will almost certainly be getting promoted at the end of 2021 (i.e. in a year) and will be making about the same and that'll be with an even better title.

So I don't want to be in a position next year where I'm two titles down making the same money.

The new job is definitely more interesting and has better exit opportunities (I'm really bored at my current job). It also has a better, more meritocratic promotion system. On the other hand it is in a less stable, client-driven industry and they've had to let people go this year.

I'm really at a loss as to what to do. Would you take this job offer?
