I graduated college in August 2019 and am just recently started applying to jobs. This was due to depression, thinking about a career change and just was a general gray area for me where I wanted a break. I did travel abroad for a couple months after grad and took 2 online classes on udemy.comduring COVID, but that's about it (from an employer's perspective).
I'm applying now and my question is should I give any sort of explanation for my gap in my cover letter? I really don't want the dates on my resume to be a red flag that I can never get past so I'm wondering if this is a good idea or not. My experiences on my resume are from late 2018 and 2017. Let me know what you guys think! Please any advice would be helpful Reddit, I'm desperate.
