Worked for 4 months at a company, made suggestions to the company’s management before I left, and everyone who works the same position as me got a raise. Also made a new protocol for the job position for the company. How can I add this to my resume without sounding extra?
I basically worked a lower-tier admin position at a company. There are 6 others who work my position. The position is not easy.
We’re the central line of all communication, we oversee and make sure all the other employees are doing their work, we review/make changes other employee’s work before approving them to clients/managers, we document everything, etc.
However, everyone except me are being paid the minimum wage (and I only know this because my position allows access to view everyone’s hourly wages).
I understand that I work harder and more efficient but like the job itself isn’t easy. Many other employees of lower positions are being paid more than our positions. It’s just unfair. The company’s management is also terrible and everything is so unorganized (the company has been open for over 10 years and the company size is about 100 employees) I basically fixed many stuff while I was there.
Now before I left the job, I had a long talk with all the management team and the CEO on how the company could improve. I literally listed down points of the things that need some changes and added several ways they could approach each point because I was lowkey pissed at how the company runs. One of the suggestions includes raising the wage for the employees working my position. I told them how its unfair and how its not motivating to be able to see other employees do way less work for $2-5 more hourly wage. Now, many of the things I suggested are being used by the company and everyone’s hourly wage is raised.
The company also asked me to write up new protocols for the job position that im working so that people can read and learn of the position’s standard and expectation. I did that.
Anywayssss, my point is that since I feel like I did, in a way, brought changes to the company (on top of working well at my position), how could I add that to my resume without sounding too extra? If that make sense haha.
I’m just a student and recently moved here so I’m very clueless so far when it comes to working/resume etc. Please give me some advice/guidance! Thank you!!
