Will a major company ever ask for a credit check?

I applied to a major athletic wear brand located in a major city. Within 25 minutes I get a reply, through Indeed email, saying “congratulations” that I’m qualified for the position and they’re asking for a credit check through GetFreeCredit360.com and asking for a picture of the result. Is this a scam? It was sponsored on Indeed, used Indeed apply, and is through indeed mail.

Edit: I wanted to include that I did check on the careers website and they are hiring for positions at the same location.
