Remember to check your e-mail, phone, and contact info

I cannot stress enough to make sure to check your phone and e-mail when you are on the job hunt. Please, please, please check your spam and voicemail. I cannot count the number of times candidates (including highly qualified) miss out because they don't check their communication.

I realize that we (myself included) are skeptical of random e-mail addresses and phone numbers. But consider that while on the job hunt, you're going to be unexpectedly contacted from a e-mail/phone that you are not familiar with.

Also, make sure your contact info is up to date and correctly entered. I've had many times when an e-mail would bounce or phone number unavailable just because the info is out of date or a typo.
