(Ontario, Canada) What level of criminal background check would be used for a call centre inbound customer service rep position?

If I was recently arrested and charged with an assault I didn’t commit, but haven’t even gone to my first hearing yet, what are the chances that this information would show up on a criminal background check done by a call centre company?

What level of background do these kinds of companies usually do? And how long does it take to come back once a request is submitted? I was told that there are 3 different levels of criminal background checks and that the “level 1” only includes convictions, and I was told by the receptionist at my local police station that employers usually only ask for a level 1 check. Problem is, I don’t know what level this company asks for.

Can anyone shed some light on this? If it helps, the cost for it was 21$ and is to be deducted off my first cheque. TIA 🙏

More Details: The reason I want to know this is because I received a job offer from a call centre company, conditional on passing a criminal background check and orientation test 2 weeks from now, and I’m kinda worried because I currently have pending charges due to my abusive ex recently making false allegations against me. I won’t go into details about it but I will say that I am 99.9 positive I will be acquitted at my hearing or found not guilty if it goes to trial unless he’s somehow able to manipulate the judge too, so I haven’t been too worried.

However I just today started to consider the possibility that this could show up on my background check and now I’m riddled with anxiety over it. I’m already stressed over this horribly unjust situation that should not be happening, I’m a clean cut and hard working individual trying to make a good life for me and my daughter after leaving an abusive situation, I’ve been applying everywhere like crazy and praying for a steady full time job like this, and I would be absolutely devastated if these false accusations got in the way of that. I know all I can really do is wait for the check to come back and see if I lose the job offer or not, but right now I’m filled with worry and if anyone can give me any clarifying information on this that would help ease my mind, I would greatly appreciate it.
