hello, I’m a high schooler and recently started a new job at a fairly big company as a sales associate. I went into the job thinking it was going to be great because the managers had spoken to me a lot about training before I was hired. I thought “ok great, the job sounds easy enough if I get to have some inkling of what to do”. So going into the job I was pretty positive. I get hired and on the very first day they just put me in a section of the store and tell me to work. One of the managers even complains to me about almost everything I do and has even mumbled under her breath that I’m dumb. I’m constantly on edge trying to figure out what to do or say because this is my very first job and I’m just going off what I think is common sense. I honestly feel like I’m just pushing myself to keep the job to just get fired and I’ve only had three shifts.
Is it going to get better? and is anything the managers are doing normal? I don’t know what to do.
