I interviewed for a great job last week, and given what I currently do, I think I’m a great fit. It’s a government job, I wasn’t expecting to even hear back about an interview for a couple of weeks. Four days after submitting my application, I had an interview. I thought it went well, and that I got along with the interviewers. I know I hit it out of the park with the written portion, because it’s what I do for a living.
Four days after the interview I sent a thank you letter. It’s been two days since the I sent the thank you letter and have not heard back about second round interviews.
Usually I’d have given it up as a lost cause by now, but the job posting said positions may take 4-6 weeks to fill. Should I just accept it isn’t going to happen? I really had my hopes up about this job. Am I over thinking this?
