Follow up after first interview?

I had an video interview recently, and I think mine was scheduled on the last day that they were doing the first round of interviews. I'm really anxious about hearing if I'll get invited for a 2nd interview. Typically, do those who are not invited for a 2nd interview get notified at the same time as the invites go out to others? If that were the case, I could handle it better. I'm just worried that the more time that goes by, the more likely it may be that they're just waiting for all the 2nd round interviews to be completed before notifying the others that they didn't make it. That way if someone declines a 2nd round interview they could still send an invite out to an extra person.
