Hi r/jobs I was hired by a DoD contractor back in May this year; I underwent their background check, drug test, filled out lots of paperwork and completed their online training only to get a call last week that I was a victim of a large scale company layoff. I was never actually able to start working but I want to know how to put this position on my resume? Can I just write the position and company name and say "laid off due to covid"? These last few months I have been focusing on getting ready for this job and now it is gone, this would have been my first job out of college after many months of searching.
